Lois Purtell
Biography:How fortunate I have been! I have been a top producer in Boulder County Real Estate for more than 31 years and still enjoy every transaction. The friendships that I have made along the way are life long and one of the many perks that go along with helping people fulfill their dreams. I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan and earned my B.S. in English Education at Michigan State University. After college, I moved to Chicago, Illinois, and worked as a teacher in Chicago's inner city schools for 10 years. After moving to Boulder in 1976, I taught English at Regis High School in Denver and then began my career in real estate in 1978. Moving to Boulder and becoming a Realtor were two of the best decisions I ever made. Considered an expert regarding schools, volunteerism, outdoor activities and of course, the Boulder County housing market and its history, I am most fond of helping my clients understand and appreciate all that our community has to offer. As an involved community member, I am a strong resource for all of your needs; the best bankers, doctors, schools, restaurants, tennis lessons and soccer clubs. My husband Tom, a retired airline pilot and I live in our dream home in North Boulder with our 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have three lovely children, all of whom graduated from the outstanding Boulder school system. Our daughter, Elizabeth currently attends the Denver School of Nursing in Denver. We also have two married sons, Michael, who lives in Denver with his wife, Shannon, and David, who lives in Eugene, Oregon with his wife, Jamie, and our grandchildren, 2 year old Dylan, and Baby Anna. As an Agent, I am a dedicated advocate for my clients. It is my goal to help my clients understand all of the steps of the home buying and selling processes. It is also my goal to counsel and advise my clients so that they are satisfied that they have been treated with respect and care. Boulder's housing market is unique, and with my 31 years of experience, I promise to give my clients an outstanding real estate experience. As a longstanding member of Boulder's community, I enjoy so much of everything Boulder has to offer. I am a skier, a hiker, a biker, a gardener, and a general outdoor enthusiast. I also have enjoyed volunteering for philanthropic and charitable organizations. In the past I have been involved with Boulder County Safehouse, Emergency Family Assistance Association, Blue Sky Bridge, and United Way. It has also been my joy to be a class parent and room mother for my daughter's classes for 16 years! Currently I am involved with The Humane Society of Boulder County, The Buffalo Bicycle Classic benefiting C.U., and The Center of the American West. I also serve on the Board of Directors of Mother House. I hope that I convey to my clients my passion for this Boulder community, and my joy at being able to work in a profession that I still love after 30 years as a Realtor in Boulder County. |
